Q3.What to do after bca? Not interested to do mca so tell me some other course?

Ans. Hi, it depends on your interest area and career goals. If the technical field interests you more, then MCA is a better choice, particularly if you would like to have a career in software development or databases etc. However if you are interested in pursuing management as a career, then an MBA in IT or HR or Operations might be good to evaluate. If you are keen to work in IT, you will need to back up your CV with a MCA and/or some relevant certifications like MCSE and CCNA for Networking or a DST for Testing. It may be a good idea to do a course in a couple of development platforms like Java, J2EE, C++, Dot Net or Mainframes and then apply to software companies. You could go in for a course in Web Development and E-commerce technologies. Normally this course is of not more than one to one and half year duration and should cover technologies like ASP. Net, VB. Net, C#, C++, XML, SQL Server, E-commerce concepts, Java and JavaScript. This course will help you in two ways 1st) It will upgrade your skills in latest programming technologies which are not usually covered so comprehensively in your BCA syllabus. 2nd) It will help you in finding a job in software development domain.

Q4. I m a student of computer science, for me GATE is better option or CAT ?

Ans. Hello, GATE and CAT are 2 very different exams, meant for very different courses. GATE is the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a standard exam used for entry into MTech. and some MSc courses in the country. If you would like to do further studies in Computer Science such as obtain an MSc degree then you might have to take the GATE exam. CAT is the Common Admission Test for entrance to MBA programs in the country, such as for IIMs  and many more colleges. If you want to do a Management oriented course (Master in Business Administration) then you should take the CAT. Both exams require considerable preparation. Good luck!

Q5. I have scored 91 percentile in GATE-09 exam. so which college will be best for me to join for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engg? Please reply me...

Ans. Hello, Nimesh. For Entrance procedure in M Tech in (IITs) you need to clear GATE examination i.e. (Graduate aptitude Test in Engineering) for that each and every January /February Month advertise is published in leading career News paper. And after the clearance form GATE you may go for M- Tech. Now for percentile system Suppose we 30 peoples appearing for the GATE Examination and you Done the TOP in that Examination my means you are the First candidate or 1 st on merit. Let i stand on 2nd number than that means your percentile is 100% my percentile is around 93 percentile. Percentile means one reference to other candidate percentage while percentage is from out of 100. There is no any other procedure 2 enter in M Tech without applying in GATE. Some BAD colleagues (Without affiliations) provides facility for doing M tech but there is no meaning of doing such type of course. There are 5 IITs (engineering) in India viz Rourkee, Kanpur, Mumbai, Khadagpur, etc.

Q6. How do I create a web site and serve to the world for my class or for my personal web site?

Ans. First, you need to create the web site, using a web editor, such as FrontPage, or Macromedia Dream weaver, or Adobe GoLive. If you are a brave soul, you can just write your own html code using notepad or vi (however, I don t recommend it unless your pages are very simple in layout and just a dump of textual information). Microsoft word also provides a facility to save your word documents as html - that d do if you were in a hurry. My recommendation for putting up documents at the server is to convert all non-html documents in pdf (portable document format) format because as the expansion of the acronym implies, it is portable and that means it d not only show up consistently across all platforms (windows, mac, unix, linux) but also print exactly how you intended. This is not true of Microsoft Word. Another advantage of using pdf is that the viewers (Adobe Acrobat Reader) for pdf documents are available for most of the platforms.

All classes have their own accounts, so if you are teaching a class, you can get the password of that account. Please contact professor Kincaid if this is the beginning of the semester and you d like a password for your class web site. If you are a faculty in the department, you already have a personal login id for your personal web page. If you don t know the password, email me with your phone number so that I or someone from the secretary  office can call you to verify the request. It  easy to spoof emails these days.

Q26. Why do we need to learn math ?

Ans.  Why do high school students need to learn math? I mean, we don t use math all that much in English, so why learn it when we already know how to balance our checkbooks?

You might be surprised at how many people need math in their lives. Math is useful for a lot more than balancing your checkbook.

Q27. Why do I need a search engine?

Ans. For the same reason you need a card catalogue in a library. There is lots of great and useful information in a library, but it  physically impossible to examine all the books personally. Not even the most indefatigable web-surfer could hyperlink to all the documents in the aptly named World Wide Web. There are billions of pages on the Web. And every minute of the day, folks are posting more.

The search engines and directories help you sift through all those 1  and 0  to find the specific information you need.

Q28. Can I search the board, or do you have Full-Text Index search?

You may search for specific posts based on words or phrases that are found in the subject or message body. You may also search by college name, date range, course related study, search within a particular forum or within an entire category. To access the search feature, click on the  Search  link at the top of the page.

Q29. If it  impossible to examine all the documents on the Web, how do the search engines do it?

Ans. They use software programs known as robots, spiders or crawlers. A robot is a piece of software that automatically follows hyperlinks from one document to the next around the Web. When a robot discovers a new site, it sends information back to its main site to be indexed. Because Web documents are one of the least static forms of publishing (i.e., they change a lot), robots also update previously catalogued sites. How quickly and comprehensively they carry out these tasks varies from one search engine to the next.

Q30. How can I remove information about myself from Studies Hub search results?

Ans. Like all search engines, Studies Hub is a reflection of the content and information that is available on the Internet. Search engines do not have the ability to remove content directly from the Internet, so removing content from Studies Hub or another search engine would still leave the original content that exists on the Web. The best thing for users who want content removed from the Internet to do is contact the webmaster of the page or the Internet hosting companies hosting the content to find out their content removal policies. Once content has been removed from a website where it appeared and Studies Hub search engine crawl has visited the page again, the information will no longer appear in Studies Hub search results. We do offer tools to help users with urgent removal request.
